La Fête du Travail

Mayday is a holiday that is forgotten in America, with the except of my mother; who makes Mayday flower baskets. Today is a holiday for most European countries and businesses and schools have the day off.  In France, its tradition to give lilies of the valley to friends and family.  In Finland, there is a country-wide picnic. The Finn and I are off to a garden spring party today! Parisian parties are always so grand with their delicious desserts and the champagne is always following. I’ll post more about Vappu soon!
