Paris lives in the past. Their modernism is lacking; when compared to New York, London, Berlin, etc. With the exception of their culinary arts it’s hard to find fresh innovation in Paris. Don’t get me wrong, I live for l’Orchestre de Paris concerts at le Louvre.  And I love going to la Coupole to see Picasso’s art or feel like I’m Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel when getting a pick-me-up at Angelina’s. But that’s just it; Paris is one big museum with  plaques describing every other building’s significance…just yesterday I found out a famous poet died in my building!  Paris is full of Gil Penders from W. Allen’s Midnight in Paris (myself included).
